Bringing together data and evidence from across arts, museums, heritage, and communities to illuminate cultural value, track participation, and inform sector policy and resilience.
The Cultural Data Trust is an independent Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to public benefit, supporting organisations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We work to establish trusted, sector-led cultural data infrastructure to safeguard shared insights and support better decisions for a thriving cultural sector.
Independent, trusted and created for the arts, culture and heritage and the funders, policymakers, researchers and sector bodies that support them. We exist to enable smart use of data to improve decision-making, accelerate innovation, increase social and economic impact and widen participation.
Bringing together data and evidence from across arts, museums, heritage, and communities to illuminate cultural value, track participation, and inform sector policy and resilience.
Safeguarding vital datasets and data infrastructure for public and sector benefit, upholding strict ethical standards, respecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal and organisational data.
A data trust established as a Community Interest Company with no shareholders, governed by an independent Board of Directors drawn from across the cultural, research, and data for good sectors.
The Cultural Data Trust acts as a steward and enabler, helping the cultural sector share, understand, and use data responsibly. We are not a commercial data broker. Our mission is to secure and maintain shared data assets and insights that no single organisation could build or sustain alone.
We are working collaboratively with cultural organisations of all sizes, public funders, and research partners across the UK to establish sustainable, transparent, and sector-owned data infrastructure.
We are keen to hear from cultural organisations, funders, researchers, and sector partners interested in supporting our mission to protect and build trusted cultural data infrastructure. Reach out below to explore partnership, register your interest, or start a conversation.
Open to all across the UK, we welcome conversations with partners across arts, culture, heritage, research, and public funding.
General enquiries to the Trust are handled in strict confidence.
